Top Five Football Clubs in the World

When we think about the top football teams in the world, it can be hard to come up with a list that people will agree on. Rather than going by which one is simply the most "worthy" club, let's take a look at the teams that are some of the most valuable. When it comes to football betting, it is important to have an understanding of which teams are at the top and why - this way you will be able to make highly informed choices about where to put your money.
At the top of the list is the world-famous Manchester United. In addition to being one of the most successful football clubs in the world, they are also one of the most valuable - perhaps over £1 billion. Since the formation of the club in 1878, they have won 19 league titles, and have been crowned world champions twice, as well. When it comes to betting, they are one of the most popularly supported teams - odds are often in favor of Manchester United taking the win for a match.
Real Madrid, based in Spain, is another one of the most successful clubs in the world. They were founded in March of 1902, and have seen much success. FIFA crowned Real Madrid to be the most successful club of the entire 1900's, and their success continues today. Real Madrid tends to be a favorite both at home and abroad - and they according to statistics based on match attendance, the club has some of the most loyal fans in the world.
Coming in at third on the list is Arsenal, another British-based football club. While they have not won quite as many league titles as Manchester United, Arsenal holds the record for the longest consecutive time in the top flight. They are also the oldest team on our list, as they were founded in 1886. While they may not always have the advantage, you can expect to see Arsenal at the top of the list on a frequent basis.
From Munich, in Germany, is the highly successful FC Bayern Munich. While they saw their greatest success in the mid 1970's, they are still the most successful football club from Germany. And even after several decades of downtime, they began to see a strong revival on the international front starting in 1998, with the arrival of Ottmar Hitzfeld to the coaching staff.
Sliding in to fifth is AC Milan, from Italy. Formed in 1899 (by an Englishman), Milan has won 18 international titles and at least as many domestic titles as well. Aside from the Europa League, AC Milan has secured a total victory at least once for every major competition they have ever participated in. With a FIFA World Cup win in 2007, AC Milan is still definitely a team worth watching.
